Meet our highly experience group of coaches at MCHPT. All our coaches bring a different & unique experience from either their playing days or coaching experience. We are lucky to have one of the best coaching staff in all of the Lower Mainland!

COACH MILTON

Milton, a Richmond local, is the Owner & Director of Hockey Operations MC High Performance Training and has been a long time hockey coach in the Lower Mainland seeing much success throughout his coaching career. MCHPT has been a leading skill development company in the Lower Mainland and is a familiar name to many athletes & families. In addition, he is also the Owner of the BC Capitals Female Elite Spring Academy where he works with the top female athletes in the Lower Mainland & Fraser Valley at all ages.

For the 2024/2025 season Milton is the Head Coach of the North Shore Warriors Female Prep Team of the CSSHL. He currently holds the role of Director of Rep for the Richmond Jets. Coach Milton is also a Hockey Canada High Performance 1 certified coach and works with BC Hockey as a coach evaluator & a Team BC Female U18 POE Camp Coach. 

 

Milton was a part of the inaugural season of the Richmond Jets as the Head Coach of the U13A1 Team for the 2018/2019 Season where the team finished amongst the Top 5 Teams in Flight 1 in PCAHA, leading the team to a Gold Medal Finish in the Nanaimo Tier 1 U13 Tournament. Three of his players that year were just drafted to the WHL this past year and more than half the team moved on to above minor levels of hockey. Milton also spent two seasons 2022/2023 & 2023/2024 as the Head Coach of the Richmond Jets U13A1 Team where they finished 4th in Flight 1, highest in Jets History. 

 

 A few years back - Milton led the Burnaby Winter Club U13A2 Team to qualifying in the PCAHA Final 4, ultimately where the team finished 2nd amongst all Tier 2 Teams. He then led the team in Salmon Arm in the BC Hockey U13 Tier 2 Provincial Championships where the team placed 5th amongst all teams in BC. This past season he was also the Head Coach of the PCAHA Female Development Program U13 Team 1 where he worked with the Top 17 U13 Athletes in the Lower Mainland & Fraser Valley. 

 

Milton's skill development background has seen many athletes come to him for private/semi private training, especially during the off season. Many of Milton's athletes have moved on to the CSSHL, BCEHL, PJHL, SJHL, AJHL, BCHL, WHL, NCAA, ACAC, USPORTS etc. 

Milton spent stints with Merritt Centennials (BCHL), Surrey Knights (PJHL), Langley Knights (PJHL), Vancouver Thunderbirds, North Vancouver Minor, Seafair Islanders, Burnaby Winter Club & PCAHA Female Zone U13 Elite Team.

COACH MELVIN 

Melvin started his coaching career in Victoria and made the move back to the Lower Mainland. During this time Melvin has been an active skills coach. With experience overseas as a skills coach, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.

COACH CHRIS

Chris brings a wealth of knowledge from his days of playing high level hockey throughout BC. He is now excited to educate youth with everything he has learnt. Chris was a well recognized defense in the province and he is extremely passionate about working with young defense players!
